Описывается метод определения фундаментальных характеристик (распределения энергии в спектре и поляризационных параметров) переменных источников, ответственных за ядерную активность, по данным о фотометрической и поляризационной переменности. Большим преимуществом метода является то, что результаты получаются без предварительного определения вклада переменного источника в суммарное наблюдаемое излучение. Даются некоторые результаты применения метода к исследованию блазаров.

The technique of determination of the fundamental parameters (spectral energy distribution and polarization parameters) of variable sources, responsible for activity of galactic nuclei, is described. This techniques is based on the data of photometric and polarimetric variability. The main advantage of this technique is that it does not use preliminary knowledge of the variable source contribution to the observed total radiation . Some examples of application of this method to the blazars studies are given.
