Polarization sounding of pulsar magnetosphere
The theoretical possibility of polarization sounding of the pulsar magnetosphere using pulsar radio emission as a probe signal is considered in this paper. The basic idea of this sounding is related to the fact that in a number of models of the pulsar magnetosphere its radio emission is emitted at different frequencies at different heights from the pulsar surface. Significant decreasing in the magnetic field strength and concentration of electrons (positrons) with height in the pulsar magnetosphere create the preconditions for sounding the pulsar magnetosphere both in depth and in pulse phase. The model of polarized pulsed radio emission from pulsars and model of weakly anisotropic propagation medium are considered.
